Belize is incredible. Nestled on the eastern coast of Central America, it is is a hidden affordable gem that shines with its pristine beaches, lush rainforests, and captivating Mayan ruins. This small yet vibrant country offers an extraordinary blend of natural wonders and cultural heritage. It also felt relatively safe. If you have ever wanted to stay at a private island and not pay a ton of money, read on...

Hard to describe the feeling you get knowing that you can hop on a relatively quick direct flight and land in another country that feels worlds away. When I travel, I have these specific visions of what I want to experience. This is likely a result of my Travel and Leisure's website that makes me want to experience everything I had a thing for tree houses. I really wanted to stay in one. High in a tree, huge view but luxurious. I found it at Caves Branch.

It is rustic, but it feels like your staying in the jungle. Your in the middle of nowhere. Its a great place to dissconect. Put your feet on the grass. walk a mile on a road lined with flowers. A great place to be present.

The reason I chose Belize was really for Manta Island. It is a private island about 70 minutes by boat from Ambergris Caye, which is a Caye that lines the Island. 8 villas on the island and access to the most beautiful water. Because there are only a few guests at a time, you really get to know everyone, including the staff. They had karaoke night and we sang with the staff, they did private dinners on the water front and we had a boat take us snorkeling on a little island where they had a BBQ lunch for us. Incredible. The snorkeling took us to the most vibrant fish and sea life I have ever seen. I can't say enough about this place, this was the most relaxing and fun filled 4 days I have ever experienced. Its so beautiful, its one of the most unforgettable experiences I have been fortunate to have.
